When making your release, please note that we cannot distribute the following material:
- Covers of existing songs or songs written by others, even if you made the music yourself, unless you have a license to do so.
- Remixes of existing songs, even if it’s your own production and you didn’t use material from the original.
- Songs that use protected samples. Think of loops or drums you cut out of other songs, but also a recording of a news item or lyrics from a movie.
- Public Domain material.
Make sure you are well aware of the licenses of samples and loops you use in your songs. If we receive a copyright claim on material you have uploaded, your account may be blocked and you will not be able to upload any more releases. Also, any costs incurred or claims made will be recovered from the uploader.
If you have already sent us a number and later find out that you have used protected material, please contact us as soon as we can.
